Notes On Wiki Pages/Projects/Heads-up/etc

Ok, I'm creating some notes to record some info about wiki pages, for convenience purposes. If you're interested you may take a look at the list. It will be edited over time.

Wiki Pages

• Snowbrawl/Snowbrawl Head: have a rare rarity. If it still drops in the current map(s) then change to seasonal tag again.
• Complete updating Power Level
• H.A.L. Droid still need Founder badge info (if it does not exists then please PM me again)
• Only hide (Free Player), (Member), (SC), '14 etc in shop pages and not anywhere else.

Forum

• To add additional note on the Image Submission Guidelines that nothing must be equip except the one to be captured when submitting images. Found quite a few images with equipped hair, weapons, etc in armor pages.

Bugs

• These are some of the bugs I've recorded so far on GDocs: bit.ly/1f3X5yr
• Those typos in-game must remain on the wiki pages unless it's fixed.

Headsup - won't be around for 1 month from 19th April. No internet access, unfortunately. Probably taking this period in some rural areas … ;)

For existing Axes change parent page/tags to Swords once any of them has been converted in-game. Also add a note to recognize the change in the respective pages.

Yes, more notes! As shops get changed frequently I felt it would be better to rename them as appropriate. If possible, shops which are identical will be named according to a major title. Usually such occur to event shops as they could change yearly. Let's say on this year's April Fools Sizdah's shop will be renamed so the following year should the NPC change or shop access from button only, we can use back the same page again. Another example is Hermie the elf's good shop which can be renamed to Smashmas Good Shop. (Named after the event instead of using NPC or shop button). One time rare shop like Hermie's good shop can remain. Moving on to Fair Grounds, Skew's Special Shop merged with morris shop and renamed to Liberty (with or without -Day) Shop. New Year Shop is a good example which does not require any renames.

Suggest a better way to name shop titles without having to rename pages repeatedly. (NPC pages use button names)

Just want to make a short and informal post here today since I've some spare time.

As you might have noticed, Cysero posted on artix.com regarding games receiving less attention like HeroSmash. I have to say that as long as the game is running and development is ongoing, we'll definitely continue to update the wiki so not to fret that. I'm still having a busy schedule so I'll hop on here over the weekends to continue with the updates. Many thanks to all the players as well as the wiki staffs.

More projects:
- Chronicle of Releases done and up to date now.
- continue with power template revamp
- tagging all ranged weapons to range done!
- auto index update done
- images upload
- need-image replacements
- old Main Street: add location to shops, missions, items - lots of them missing/removed
- clear up war pages
- Revise definition of all tags (suggestions? ideas?)
- Item Level Chart -> maybe go back to tagging for each level to save effort in updating (exclude all level 1 items/items tagged with defaultbase). Kind of like what was done for the hidden tags.

Can either of you guys unlock all non-member, non-rare non-member and non-member seasonal sorting pages, please. I need to remove '-member/-sc' and replace it with '+freeplayer' since tagging is done. Thanks!

Also, instead of 'Non-member' I suggest we rename it to 'Free Player <w/e>' due to the fact that Non-member sort pages include '-member -sc' which is kinda confusing (since Non-member means: items that are NOT member but still SC). My solution is, rename it to 'Free Player' - add '+freeplayer' - remove '-member' AND fully remove '-sc' for all "Non-member .." sorting pages. What do think, guys?

Thanks! I just finished fixing most of the broken links for each pages but some pages are still locked so I can't fix their broken links.

(Can't access to a pc/laptop atm. Unlocked rest of the pages that are not done. armors, capes, gloves, scars for now -peachii)

Monsters, NPCs, Locations (got to check: missions) should have the freeplayer tag.

I'm making a clarification for myself to take note in future editing as well as for future editors regarding Color Custom notes on equippable items. This will not include all item types though, just common ones that appear frequently. A LOT of HS items are CC so I thought this might be useful. I'm starting with armors and will be adding more here if I could think of.

ARMOR:

• Specify "Note: Color Custom to *Base/Trim/Accessory/Skin/Eye/Hair* Color" if you're not sure which part.
• Specify the EXACT body part if you're sure. (example "Note: Gauntlet, shoulder and leg are Color Custom to Base Color")
• Note that the body part you're specifying should be singular instead of plural, with no 's' behind. e.g. Legs should be Leg. You're identifying a body part or a particular spot, not the spotS where the CC is located. Why do we not identify both spots - like shoulders instead of shoulder? This leads to another question:
  • What if the "right" side of your shoulders is not CC? - if you're looking at the image, it might be correct to show the directions, but if you're the player using the hero/character who happens to walk towards the right ingame, the body part you're indicating becomes left. In conclusion, be neutral on notes. No mentioning of 'right' or 'left' spot, no mention of both spots, be very clear of what you're mentioning.
• Don't use the color shown on the images, even if both have the same color. It's confusing, vague and IF the image is broken or changed, the note will not match the new image shown.

HEAD ITEMS:

• Same as the first bulletin above.
• Example: "Note: Horns and Ornaments are Color Custom to Accessory Color"
