Since it's a rather 'huge' project I suppose it's going to take quite some time (well for those professional wiki-ers it could be much faster I suppose).

As suggested earlier on the other thread the idea is to have a Sort by level system for all items since HS use this restriction. It would not be easy as we will have to add individual items manually similar like the A-Z. Plus do note that we have some items that drop from monsters which we don't know the item level unlike shops, which can be referred to.

Discuss, on the possibility of implementing such a listing.

To be honest, there are staff members I can contact for help on the matter, Peachii you are able to access rare items as well if I'm not mistaken.

The thing about the "Sort by Levels" feature is that it would still require sorting of some kind.

My idea with the tags revolves around a standard issued tag. Since items in HeroSmash are not "Player-dependant" like AQW, where you can get a drop and it will be 2 levels below what your level is… HeroSmash items are programmed base levels. And since there are only 20 levels in HeroSmash, and most are level 1… Having a "tag" for each level requirement would not be that big of a deal.

Most items in HeroSmash that have a higher than 1 base level are level 5, 10, 15, or 20. There are exceptions of course, and also powers have multiple levels.

Powers would be easy because all powers have 1 page for all levels, so for example: Fiery Feet would get the tags level3 level5 level7 level9 level11 level13 level15 level17 level19.

Now while that might seem like an unnecessary spam of tags, when you're searching the "level15" tag, OR the "level19" tag, Fiery feet would only come up once since it's the same page.

Personally, I think it'd be so much easier to do level tags.

My major concern is if we were to place an index of Sort by level it would require huge manpower to manage and add for every new releases. To make things easier and to save the trouble of adding every single item manually, I'm fine with having tags. Since we have a lot of level 1 items (noting most of the misc. items are level 1 which is pretty unnecessary to add), those should not require the level tags.

Another thing is regarding powers - it would require the use of several tags which I don't like at all. We have to consider the level cap raised in future, and that is also one issue to think of. For that, we can probably exclude powers and do a chart of their level requirements - it's efficient since we don't have a lot of power items (see Sort by All Powers)

With the tags we can still do the sorting index, but using the automatic update system for every single level (even level 1 items too).

For now this is used for items and not include monsters, so it won't be that confusing.

As for the Tag discussion thread I can add something like this:

• level(X) - this is used for items (other than powers) that has a level requirement to equip (NOTE: Replace (X) with the level required)

That's roughly my idea for now.

What if we use low, med and high (as shown below) instead? It'll be much easier to sort and we don't have to put every single level especially for powers. As for the powers, we can just put these 3 tags if they fit each range of base levels.

Example:
lowbase - Items that have a level 1 to level 7 base levels.
medbase - Items that have a level 8 to level 13 base levels.
highbase - Items that have a level 14 to level 20 base levels.

If we do create a 'Sort by level' on each category of items, WE all know it will take some time to sort all of them, as we have to do it manually. But I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it.

That's a pretty good idea and we don't have to use tags for every level.
