Time Out

Before we agree to "help" anybody, we should figure out what we're up against first. Since the Time Sentinels are only attacking public property, it would be a good thing to realize how much power they have against us humans… and how much we can charge the civilians for our service. Patrol the streets of Pleasanton and defeat 5 Time Sentinels so that we will have an idea of how powerful these machines really are, and how much Fame we can profit off of.

That wasn't so hard, was it? You are off to a great start. Seems like the Time Sentinels will only attack when provoked, but that still doesn't answer why they are destroying public property… or where they came from… or why they are here… or who sent them… or why we Villains didn't come up with this plan in the first place.

Do the Time Sentinels feed off of public property? Is their power derived from park benches and street lamps? Seems like an odd source of energy… but whatever, I'm not the one to judge what's good to eat and what's not. But maybe if we can return those items to Pleasanton, the civilians will fork over a bunch of their hard-earned Fame! Beat enough Sentinels to retrieve 3 Park Benches and 3 Street Lamps, and then return those items to their rightful places within Pleasanton so that we can cash in.

Nice job. You have successfully made things a bit more pleasant in Pleasanton, and we can reap the rewards. But there's still the looming issue of who (or what) sent the Time Sentinels…

This is getting ridiculous. More and more Time Sentinels are flooding the streets of Pleasanton, and our previous efforts seem to make no difference. We need to figure out why they're here… and who sent them. If we can repair this broken Time Sentinel, then maybe we will gain some insight as to what their prime directive is. Collect bits and pieces from the Time Sentinels to repair the broken sentinel!

Hrm… all the pieces are here, but your DIY Sentinel isn't powering on. What we're missing is a source of power. And yup, you guessed it: you're going to have to find the thing that makes them tick. Destroy enough Time Sentinels to find an intact power source and bring it back to me. Good luck!

…it worked? I mean, of COURSE it worked! Now that your Sentinel is powered on, we should be able to find out its prime directive. Click the Time Sentinel beside us, escort it around Pleasanton and wait for something to happen. Something IS bound to happen, right? It's the only chance we've got to figuring out why the Time Sentinels are here in the first place!
